What we sell, and what it costs.

Atypic makes subscription software apps used online. Customers pay monthly or yearly for paid plans. Everything is automated software delivered over the internet: there are no physical goods, and nothing is shipped.

Today Atypic sells one app, Bookwright. Others will be listed here, with their plans and prices, when they go on sale.

Bookwright

An AI editor and director for books, used in your web browser.

Bring an idea, or the manuscript you already have. A Director and a house of AI editors (a writer, a developmental editor, a line editor, a copyeditor, a continuity editor, beta readers, a proofreader, a typesetter, a cover designer and a publisher) take it through the brief, the outline, the draft and every pass of edits with you. Nothing you wrote changes until you accept it, and every change can be undone.

The finished book comes out as a print-ready PDF at your trim size, an EPUB 3 the ebook stores accept, a manuscript DOCX to send a literary agent, and covers for the ebook and the print wrap.

Bookwright runs on your own AI provider: an API key from Anthropic, OpenAI, Google or OpenRouter, or a Claude Pro or Max plan connected to Bookwright. Your provider bills you for the model’s work. That cost is not part of any Bookwright plan, and Bookwright doesn’t resell it or take a cut.

How the Pro subscription works

Price
$12.00 USD a month, or $120.00 USD a year. You choose monthly or yearly at checkout. There are no setup fees or other charges.
When you’re charged
When you subscribe, then at the start of each new month (monthly) or each new year (yearly).
Term and renewal
Each term is one month or one year. It renews automatically for another term of the same length until you cancel. There is no commitment beyond the term you’ve paid for.
Renewal price
The same: $12.00 USD a month or $120.00 USD a year. If the price ever changes, you’ll be told by email before it applies to you, and you can cancel before then. Before a yearly plan renews, Link emails you a reminder.
Tax
Any sales tax, VAT or GST that applies where you live is worked out by Link and shown at checkout, before you pay.
Delivery
Pro turns on in your Bookwright account as soon as the payment goes through. It’s software used over the internet; nothing is shipped.
How to buy
Sign in at bookwright.diy and upgrade from your account page. Payment is taken on Stripe’s secure checkout page.
Payment security
You enter your payment details on Stripe’s checkout page, over HTTPS. Stripe is certified to PCI DSS Level 1, and Atypic never sees or stores your full card number.
How to cancel
Any time. On Bookwright’s account page, choose Manage billing, which opens the billing portal, and cancel there. Or cancel at link.com, where your Link account lists your subscriptions.
When cancelling takes effect
At the end of the month or year you’ve paid for. Pro stays on until then, you aren’t charged again, and your account moves to the Free plan. See the refund and cancellation policy.
