Refunds and cancellation

You can cancel a paid plan at any time, and keep it until the end of the time you’ve paid for. If something has gone wrong with a charge, write to us and we’ll put it right.

Cancel any time

Paid plans for Atypic’s apps are monthly or yearly subscriptions that renew automatically until you cancel. You can cancel whenever you like, in either of two places:

  • In the app. In Bookwright, open your account page and choose Manage billing. It opens the billing portal, where you cancel.
  • At Link. Sign in at link.com with the email you paid with; your subscriptions are listed there.

If neither works for you, email support@atypic.ai from the address on your account and we’ll cancel it for you.

What happens when you cancel

  • Cancelling stops the next renewal. You won’t be charged again.
  • Your paid plan stays on until the end of the month or year you’ve already paid for. For example, if a monthly plan renewed on the 3rd and you cancel on the 20th, you keep Pro until the 3rd of next month.
  • Then your account moves to the free plan. Your account and your work stay, within the free plan’s limits.
  • You can subscribe again at any time.

Refunds

Because a cancelled plan stays on until the end of its term, we don’t refund the unused part of a month or year by default. But we would rather you were treated fairly than follow a rule, so if any of these happened, write to us:

  • you were charged twice, or charged in a way you didn’t expect;
  • a plan renewed that you meant to cancel, and you haven’t used it since;
  • someone used your payment method without your permission;
  • the app didn’t work as described, and we couldn’t fix it.

We look at every request and, where a refund is fair, arrange it in full or in part. We also refund the unused part of a term if we take away a material part of a paid plan, close your account without you having broken our terms, or stop offering an app.

Purchases are processed and sold through Link: Sold through Link, LLC, an affiliate of Stripe, is the merchant of record. Link may issue a refund within 60 days of a purchase under its own refund policy, even where ours would not. You can ask Link directly at support.link.com.

How to ask for a refund

Email support@atypic.ai from the address on your account, with:

  • The app and plan, for example Bookwright Pro, monthly.
  • The date and amount of the charge. It shows on your statement as LINK.COM* ATYPIC.
  • What went wrong.

We reply within 2 business days. An approved refund goes back to the payment method you paid with, including any tax charged on it. Your bank usually shows it within 5 to 10 business days.

Please write to us before disputing a charge with your bank: it is almost always faster.

Delivery and returns

Atypic’s apps are software used over the internet. A paid plan turns on in your account as soon as the payment goes through, and nothing is shipped, so there is nothing to return: cancelling, as above, is how you stop a plan.

Your rights under the law

Nothing in this policy takes away a right to cancel or to a refund that the law where you live gives you.
